FIBS Software Interfaces

Tinyfugue - Originally this was an enhanced telnet client for general MUDS. A patch has been developed by Marvin (Andreas Schneider) and Snoopy (that's me) which improves the textual interface to FIBS. The screen is divided into a text input area, a text output area, and a non-scrolling board display area. For more info see the readme file. A complete distribution can be retrieved ( compressed tar file, gzipped tar file). Or if you already have TF version 2.1.beta2 you can just get the patches ( compressed tar file, gzipped tar file).

XFibs - This is a graphical interface designed by torstein (Torstein Hansen). It is similar in layout to tinyfugue, with text windows for input and output, and a board area manipulated by the mouse. His original distribution (version 7) can be retrieved ( compressed tar file). I have made a few modifications which fix a few bugs and change a few features. You can get more details on my patches here. You can also retrieve the patches one at a time ( patch1, patch2, patch3) or as a group (patches 1, 2 and 3). Since these are bootleg patches, I am not supplying a completely patched distribution or executable version. Mike Quinn has actually done this, and you can get version 8 here (compressed tar file).

MS vs Snoopy Annotated Match

Here you can get a copy of a match played between ms (Casey Forrest) who was the winner of my last tournament, and yours truly. This match has been annotated by three experts. On the computer side we have TD-Gammon and Jellyfish supplying their neural network equities for potential moves. Pulling it all together is knowledge and wisdom from Kit Woolsey. This match is annotated in much the same manner as the "Kit vs Jeremy" match. You can retrieve either a (compressed ascii) file or a (compressed postscript) file (highly recommended). Enjoy.
