The CS department participates in the cooperative education program (Co-op) which enables graduate and undergraduate students to combine school work with practical, paid work in career fields. For further details see The Co-op Program or consult the Co-op Coordinator:

Graduate Internships

A graduate student who wishes to gain work experience may arrange an internship that is relevant to his or her training and professional goals. When a suitable opportunity has been found, the student may register, with the help of a department advisor, for up to three credits. On the M.S. program, an internship fills the "free elective" slot. For further details see one of the Graduate Advisors.

Undergraduate Internships

We are in the process of implementing an undergraduate internship program.

Careers in Computing

Typical initial job titles might be applications programmer, software engineer, or quality assurance engineer. After a few years, job titles might be system analyst, team leader, or software consultant. Areas of application range from database management to highly technical design projects.
